Summer 2007

Foals, Foals and more Foals!

All of our Foals arrived this year happy and healthy! We have two Foundation Quarter Horse crosses by Charro; two purebred grulla fillies (NOT for sale!); a Sport horse delux filly by Charro out of a Secretariat granddaughter and last but not least, our Lusitano cross surprise....see below!

We are workin' hard at getting everyone rebred for next year.....we have some great stuff cooken'!

Surprise! Double Dilute + Dun!

Imagine our surprise when this fellow showed up! His Lusitano sire, Saphiro, is a Cremello (double dilute red base) and his dam, Sycha, must hide a creme gene along with her dun dilute.

Affectionately known as Gringo, he is everything we desire in his conformation, attitude and temperment. He will be well over 16 hands, with a upright build and compact body.

Gringo will be tested to see what base color he is, but from the looks of his stripes, my guess is black based.

Our Junior Stallion, Bayo Desierto . . .

has recovered nicely from his EPM. He is back in training and coming along well, though we still have a couple physical spots to strengthen.

We are also expecting some first foals from him next year! He was bred to Momma, Sycha and Hija, so we will have a good idea of what he will produce in the future.

Check back for some new picts of Desi under saddle!

Expecting Two Lusitano / Kiger foals next year!

Two of our purebred Kiger mares have been bred to JP Giacominis' stallion Hipogrifo. Hipo is a Veiga bred Lusitano, directly bred for the bullring.

The new foals will be half siblings to Diva, Reina and Vistosa.

Thank you to JP and Shelley for all their hard efforts in getting our mares in foal this year!

Visit their website and see more picts / video of Hipo plus JPs' other Lusitano Stallions . . .
